Diese Studie über die Reaktion des vegetativen Nervensystems auf eine bestimmte osteopathische Technik (CV4) hat unerwartete Ergebnisse geliefert. (Bei einer Population von 21 Subjekten wurde mit einer Signifikanz von p=.01 die vagale Aktivität relativ reduziert, wobei alle Schriften seit 100 Jahren von einer Zunahme sprechen. Einzelfälle haben gezeigt wie die Autoregulation ganz andere Wege nimmt, als es die Theorien voraussagen.) Die Studie erhält 2012 von der Fondation Canadienne pour l’Enseignement et la Recherche en Ostéopathie (FCERO) den Louisa Burns D.O. Thesis Award ("...for the most representative thesis for the advancement of Osteopathy").
